The meet will be held on school grounds after school at 2:30 pm. Please note that Wednesday is an Early Release day. Students will be dismissed at 1:30 pm. Cross Country runners will need to stay after school and warm up before the meet. There will not be a bus for students to ride home after the meet. Parents will need to pick their runner up after their race. Cross your fingers for cooler weather! This will be a practice meet. Awards will not be given but we will take times. This is an early release day for the students. I'm very excited about this Cross Country season. We have several great runners returning from last year.<br /><br />CC practice will begin on Monday, August 31st @ 6:50 a.m. We will meet outside near the bus stop side of the locker rooms. Please come ready to run. <br /><br />You do not have to be in athletics to participate but you MUST HAVE a completed physical. You will not be able to practice until this is completed and turned in. Please bring a pair of running shoes that you are NOT wearing to school. They will get dirty. No DC, Vans, Converse, etc.<br /><br />You will also need to wear athletic type shorts and a t-shirt. They do not need to have a Deerpark logo. Please do not wear clothes you will wear to school that day. Be sure to bring a water bottle and something to eat/snack after practice. We will practice rain or shine.<br /><br />FYI - Be sure to eat somthing before practice but DO NOT eat anything with milk (oatmeal, cereal etc.) before practice.<br /><br />Dates for the meets and maps to meet locations can be found on the side of this page.
